Video Show returned to New York City Jan. 30-Feb. 1,
2003 and boasted a new and much larger location than in
2002 - Madison Square Garden Expo Center. Expande in
2003 to provide content beyond digital video
production/post, the 3-day mega event also includes
VFX World and The NY Audio Production Show. These
simultaneously run events were co-located with The
NY DV Show. Attendance exceed
10,000 representing a 35% increase in attendance
from 2002. Attendees were comprised of editors,
directors, filmmakers, videographers, digital artists
and audio pros. The purpose of the show is to provide
objective distilled “how-to” technical guidance,
creative inspiration and insights and define the
buying options for those working in these fields.
It’s billed as the place where “the capture edit,
design and delivery of digital video content meets
audio production.

a keynote at Streaming Media East, Will Poole, VP at
Microsoft’s Digital Media Division, unveiled what
he called the “third generation” of its Windows
Media technology, code-named "Corona".
Corona is a major upgrade that includes a new beta
server and advanced codecs.
The server component is available for download
and testing as of today as part of the Microsoft
.NET Server Beta 3 (.NET Server will be the
successor to Windows 2000 Server).
