The
Economy & Entrepreneurs,
The
problem with current venture funding is that so much
money has been lost that many investors are
reluctant to get back into the "murky"
water with conditions so uncertain. Additionally,
they feel much poorer than they did 18 months ago.
There is a big overhang of inventory (some
salvageable and some not) from the latest era of
irrational exuberance. On the professional side,
many VCs are struggling to keep the companies they
have already invested in alive.

Which
Web Design Firm is Right for You?
Selecting
an interactive or Web design agency is not an easy
task. With thousands of companies to choose from and
estimates with variations in pricing and timing that
will blow your mind, it is very important to know
what to look for in that potential partner. Working
on both the client and agency side I have seen where
many of the breakdowns could occur and how many of
them can be avoided. So before you go selecting your
next Web design firm I suggest you consider the
following advice.

TECHNOLOGY/COMMERCE
E-Commerce,
Online Marketing
Trust
-- or the lack of it -- is emerging
as one of the critical roadblocks to
success in e-commerce and online
marketing initiatives, according to
a recent report by management
consultants McKinsey & Co.
The
report cited a Georgia Institute of
Technology survey that found only 4
percent of online users routinely
register at Web sites. About
two-thirds of those not registering
reported a lack of trust or privacy
as one of their reasons.
